Why Buy American First!

We Americans need to commit our own resources' to purchasing at least one item daily that is "Made In America!" As we all know that most of our products that we use every day are made Asia through American companies’. We have allowed our government, that was founded "By the People, For the People" has swayed from our founding fathers dream to our nightmare.

I remember when many of the same products that I use today were "Made in America" and not they are made outside of our borders. The companies I speak of are the same American companies that I remember when I was a child yet the work-force that employed my parents are no longer here in our neighborhoods, which brings me to a puzzling question! Why and how did we allow this to occur to our children, our grandchildren, and ourselves?

Yes, you remember the above mentioned questions and issues I speak of, in fact it was developed into the "American Dream" which we all bought into and today we are losing sight of that dream for all Americans! We cannot put the blame on Washington D.C. as we have elected the politicians, we at least some of did as most Americans do not exercise their right to vote. Four little letters that have so much impact on all of our lives and yet so few of us take the time to educate ourselves to the political process and then using that knowledge to vote for a candidate that will follow through on their promises. I do not want to travel down the path of voting and our right to vote, despite that everyday people are reliving the same tyranny our forefathers faced and dying, just as they did, to get the right to vote and freedom!

To focus on an issue that we all need to face, which is "Buying American First," through American companies with American workers! We can start small and try to buy at least one product that is "Made in America" we will be helping our neighbors, our country and ourselves. Speaking for myself, I do read labels and I try to buy American made products, which supports our country more than we can imagine and the results will be enjoyed by all of us.

One of the problems we face is finding the companies that still make products in America by American companies. I do not want to point fingers and waste my most valuable resource, which is my time as each moment is a gift, but I need to try and get you, as well as, the millions of other Americans to wake-up and realize that we are seeing the demise of our America, the same America I know we all love and enjoy! Looking back at history we see that every great civilization that rose to the top of world power and living standards have all failed for various reasons. My point to the previous statement is that we are all enjoying a lifestyle of freedom and with that freedom we enjoy comes responsibility. If we look back into our recent history and WW II, which was that we were not prepared for as we were recovering from the stock market crash and the repercussions of WWI, the "War to End All Wars!" Once again, not to focus on the war but to focus on the resources we had as our disposal. The resources that I am speaking about were in every neighborhood in our country and they were the factories and other industrial plants that peppered our landscape. Where are they today and we all know the answer as they have been turned into lofts, storage units and /or demolished to make room for something new. Where are those American companies today and what is our responsibility?

Our responsibility starts with buying one American made product and to increase that to two, three and beyond... Next we need to tell the American companies we need them our of DC and back into our neighborhood and then we need to make our vote count. We need to elect people that have the same belief we possess and believe that American companies need to start making American products with American workers back into our neighborhoods so we can put Americans back to work making American products for us to purchase. We need to create a vicious circle that will have us Thinking and Buying American First!

I do not have all the answers but I do believe that the answers are in all of working together as Americans and solving our American problems together!
